What do I need to establish a connection

You can connect to the eduroam network with different devices, such as:

• laptops,
• handhelds
• or other wireless devices that support the standards required:
  • 802.11b/g/n
  • WPA-Enterprise or WPA2-Enterprise security protocol

To establish a connection the device also needs to have suitable software:

• eduroam CAT
• third-party 802.1x client (with instructions to establish connection)

When buying wireless cards for portable devices check if the product is labeled with the following marks:

• IEEE 802.11b/g/n
• WPA-Enterprise (the latest networks also support WPA2-Enterprise)
